Yoga for Anxiety

Understand how to cope better with every day life...

The aim of this course is to empower you with simple yet effective techniques for managing anxious energy that you can practise on the yoga mat and then apply in your everyday life.

Guided by Dan, an Occupational Therapist and Yoga Teacher, each session will involve yoga postures and breathwork tailored to your abilities.
Whether you are a beginner or advanced yoga student the techniques can be easily applied in your own practise.

In the first sessions, you will explore and become confident using 3 practical techniques to bring down anxious energy, on the mat. These can then be applied directly and easily off the mat.

Then, you may explore learning to become comfortable increasing and decreasing your heart
rate within the safe space of the yoga mat. This provides confidence and practise for ‘bringing down’ anxious states in everyday life.
By the last sessions, mindfulness techniques including walking meditation and mental noting may also be introduced allowing you to observe and feel more comfortable with your own thoughts.

Dan is certified in Yoga Therapy Skill For Anxiety, by The Minded Institute.

Minimum class size for the course to run is 5 people.
