Post Natal classes
Being a mama isn’t always easy and while family can be a great help but being around other mamas can be a great help.
Our founder Nicola knows this feeling and this is why The Reach offers one of the fullest schedules of post-natal classes in the city. There is something for every taste.
Here is a breakdown of each class to see which one suits you and your baba, plus the first class is free so you can give it a go:
Hitting the post-natal nail straight on the head, our post-natal Pilates classes focus on building up your deep abdominal and pelvic floor muscles, aiding their recovery and strengthening pregnancy. Our classes are a great way to meet other mums, with whom you can share your thoughts and experiences and find a new set of friends and social life! This is a course.
The class is suitable from 6 weeks following an uncomplicated birth, otherwise we suggest starting after your GP appointment.
We sing, we play, we enjoy!
Baby yoga sits alongside baby massage as part of the class, as these two practices complement each other perfectly and provide the best possible experience for your baby.
The class offers physical stimulation to your baby via touch, holding them, flowing movement of massage and through the sound of your voice via praise. The session encourages relaxation.
The class helps you as carers develop techniques for structured play with your babies, and gives you valuable adult time with others in the same situation as yourself, as you chat over a free drink and snack.
We believe in introducing yogic ideas from a young age at yoga at the reach so love bringing yoga into little people’s lives through toddler’s yoga. During the classes, we build up confidence and self-esteem, we sing, we move, we use our imaginations, we get crazy, we breath and get calm!
All ages of toddlers and carers welcome.
Baby massage has been practiced for many years and in some cultures it is ritually passed from one generation to another generation. Our infant massage classes offer a soothing and calming way to bond with your baby and can bring many benefits to your baba such as helping relieve many common baba complaints such as colic, wind, reflux, poor digestion and sleeplessness. We run courses as we have found this is the best way to introduce massage to both baba and mama and doing a course helps embed massage as part of your and your baba’s routine. Join us to gain an understanding of appropriate and positive touch and start this beautiful lifelong gift with your baba.
